MEDITERRANEAN

PALYNOLOGY 2015

Symposium

It is the first time that the the Italian and Spanish palynological associations GPSBI (Gruppo di Palinologia della Società Botanica Italiana) and APLE (Asociación de Palinólogos de Lengua Española) promote a joint scientific meeting. In 2013, GPSBI organized the congress on 2013 Palynology in Modena while APLE organized the 2nd International APLE-APLF congress in Madrid. The positive outcomes of the two congresses are the clear evidence that this science has a renewed interest in modern society, and stimulated this new cooperation for the next congress. The symposium will provide an opportunity for the participants to exchange ideas, find global partners for future collaboration and share experiences and research results. The main palynological issues will be discussed including studies on air quality and environment, climate and global change, cultural landscape and human activities, and other basic and applied subjects.
